Corporate Castaways of Bay of Nation Park, Banff

Hi! This is Alexis from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We were in the spectacular Bay of Nation Park yesterday for a Corporate Castaways event. This week’s Corporate Castaways was an outdoor adventure for a large team of builders and property managers from Calgary. The participants enjoyed wrapping up their week long corporate retreat by bonding with teammates over a series of games based on the popular Survivor TV show. The company director was thrilled to see his staff effectively collaborating, strategized, problem solved and succeeded all of the challenges. It was a positive end to their week of meetings and an exciting way to build relationships throughout their company divisions.

Winning Corporate Team Building Activity in Muskoka

Miguel here with another Canadian Outback corporate event update.

Muskoka region was a perfect setup for a Minute to Win It event booked by an oil producer company. The full colors and the changing of the leaves did not distract the teams from completing the tasks assigned to them. They focused on the challenges and they did their best with the opposite team, however, there can only be one winner, and this team really get together and achieve the task with the higher score for the day.

A Minute to Win It in Banff

Hello this is Jill with another corporate event update.

It is October 19th and we are here in Banff, Alberta. We have just completed a Minute to Win It for a local real estate company based out of Calgary. They have come up here for 2 days worth of meetings and these guys had us bright and early at a 10am start. The client was really excited; they haven’t done anything with us for the past few years as money was tight, so they are very excited to be able to have something added on to their conference. The group was a little slow to wake up, they had a lot of fun the night before, but as soon as they got engaged with the event, they just had a blast. So much energy and so much competitive spirit, it was really fantastic to see the teams bantering back and forth as they are doing the challenges and with that high energy set forth with all of their team cheers, it was just a fantastic event to see these guys participate in. Never a highlight for this event but just one thing, the entire event was such in high energy, funny and engaging activity for groups, so everyone had such a fantastic time. The client was very amped about the experience and is looking forward to incorporating us into their conference again next year.

Mistery in Downtown Calgary

Marybeth here from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

A crime was committed in downtown Calgary and we had the best repeat client to help us solve the mystery. This oil company gathered at Salt Lake for lunch, task assignment and crime briefing. Participants were placed into 4 teams and had to assign each team member a specialized CSI role to help in their investigation. Teams successfully made their way to the crime scenes, collecting the evidence and document the scene. Luckily this team was extremely safety conscious and wore their latex gloves when handling the evidence, such as blood, hair and brain matter. Teams had to secretly meet with an informant and pay her a substantial amount to obtain valuable information. Collectively, the group was able to put together pieces and thanks to their due diligence, the crime was solved.

Building Better Teams in Parksville Through Corporate Castaways

Hey there everybody, it’s Michelle with Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We have just finished a Corporate Castaways event on the beach in Parksville, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island for a health care company. We had about 30 people today and we put them head to head against all of our awesome Corporate Castaways challenges and we had a group that were mostly administrative workers and that actually, as the client had mentioned, don’t get along that well. So we had them in teams, doing challenges that were really needed to involve every member of the team, no one was left out, so this is something the client really wanted right off the bat. They wanted people to be able to interact in a way that they wouldn’t typically and get to know each other better to help build that relationship stronger for those that don’t see eye to eye all the time. Everyone left this event with smiling faces and a good experience. The client was extremely happy with the outcome and thought that, you know, those individuals that she was concerned about at the start, she definitely wasn’t concerned about in the end. She saw progress right away and was quite happy with the results.
