Party in the Park Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

This is Kristen with another corporate event update.

Our latest event took the Calgary team up to Toronto, Ontario, for our Party in the Park. This company was celebrating their employees and decided to have a great party outside in the sunshine. The event started out with the barbecue catered by a local Toronto barbecue company. They finished off the lunch with some ice cream. Next stop, we had a structured Corporate Castaways event where about 60 people participated in the challenge. After the winner was determined, it was fun and games for the rest of the afternoon. We had volleyball, touch football, bocce, croquette, and the big crowd favourite – giant jenga.

Crime Investigators Corporate Team Building Activity in Calgary

This is Kirsten from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Our latest event took us out to the Heather Glen Golf course for a Crime Investigators event. This event was hosted for a local oil and gas company. As it is June in Calgary, the weather was gloomy, but that didn’t stop our dedicated investigators from getting the job done. The gloomy weather added to the mysterious feeling of the crime scene. It was really great to see the attention to detail be brought to light and the competitive nature of this group worked in favour of the winning team. This group enjoyed the unique team building event with their morning activity prior to an afternoon of golf.

Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in Calgary

This is Kirsten from Canadian Outback Adventures and Events with another corporate events update.

Our latest June Calgary event, took us to the Calgary Rugby Club for an Apprentice Bike Build. This group of Air Quality Control Professionals was struggling with office unity and was hoping for an event with a heavy focus on communication. The apprentice did just that. Individuals that rarely worked together were brought together to make some magic happen. Creativity was definitely on the rise and the bikes turned out great! A highlight for all participants was when the boys and girls club representative accepted the bike’s donation. Their stories of the deserving bike recipients made all participants inspired by doing good in their community. The Calgary Rugby Club was a great venue for this event of 75people and had a breath taking view of the Rocky Mountains.

Wild Goose Chase Corporate Team Building Activity in Calgary

Good Morning from Calgary! This is event coordinator, Esther with another corporate team building event recap.

I just had the pleasure of hosting a great group of natural gas industry professionals in the widely hilarious Wild Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt Challenge. We were able to take advantage of some great sunny weather down on busy Steven Avenue in Calgary to complete a variety of paparazzi themed challenges. These teams were a comical and an adventurous bunch resulting in some creative and memorable photographs and interactions with the Calgary public. The final points were neck in neck so it came down who’s really willing to go that extra mile which did result in a few of the competitors heading into their weekends with their hair dyed bright pink. There was an overwhelming sense of team spirit support and feedback as this group was really looking for less of a race style event but one that suit their wide range of abilities and personalities. The theme of paparazzi in Hollywood to these challenges made it even more an accessible and enjoyable game for everyone to play.

Corporate Castaways Corporate Team Building Activity in Edmonton

This is Kirsten from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Our latest event took us out to Edmonton, Alberta, for a Corporate Castaways challenge. Even though this group was small, they were really excited to get into the challenges and get competitive. Our highlight was definitely flag making and face painting. The enthusiasm with the face painting was definitely seen by all. Another highlight was “Buried Treasure”, teams were super excited to find their treasure and get a little sugar rush to keep them going through the competition. As it was in the middle of June, the sun was shining and vitamin D was going around. Lewis Mackenzie Park in Edmonton was the perfect spot for this event with a beautiful view of the Saskatchewan River.

The Apprentice Corporate Team Building Activity in Calgary

Good Morning from Calgary! This is event coordinator, Esther with another corporate event update.

We were at the Calgary Winter Club earlier this week with a group of legal practitioners who are participating in a surprise Apprentice Bike Build Event. It was an early Morning start so I was delighted to see how quickly the teams dove in. They were a very focused group and they concentrated on the details of their budgets, time constraints and rules.  It didn’t take long for the team’s steward to get busy either as teams vie for that coveted bike part. There was little team sabotages but a lot of thinking beyond the creative constraints we put in to play. And as a result we saw forges in the recycling and even a few interactions with the venue’s front desk receptions as teams ask to borrow tapes, scissors and other office materials from them. The result was a wide range of themed bikes. One’s focused in safety features, accessibility and even a few that were magically transformed into animals, thanks to the wonder of cardboard. Representatives from Calgary’s Children Cottage were there to help us with the judging process and to roll those awesome bikes away to deserving homes. That concludes another entertaining and rewarding apprentice event with Canadian Outback Adventures and Events.

Urban Fear Factor Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Miguel here with another Canadian Outback Adventures & Events corporate update.

The day started with the briefing to the group in the client’s office located in downtown Toronto. Once the briefing ended, a thin package with instructions on how to download the app, find the Urban FearFactor game and sign in to it was given to each team. Once all of the team got signed in to the game, off they went all over to the downtown core to try to complete as many missions as possible within the 3 hours allotted for the game. One of the missions was for teams to find specific names of Canadian stars in the walk of fame. One of the teams actually met the bobsled Olympian and had a picture taken with her. What a great way to earn extra bonus points.
