Urban Olympics - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto Island

Hey there! It’s Dolena with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we are running Urban Olympics on the beautiful Toronto Island. This group of 20 from a local software company were excited and eager to get the games started. The scavenger hunt style event had the participants split into teams and locate a variety of challenges located throughout the island using a passport book. It was critical for the teams to strategize together because each challenge had different point values – bronze being the least and gold being the most. This group proved to be very competitive as they literally ran all over the island, we had 2 teams even complete all 13 challenges. This being more of a physical event, some of the favourite activities were the “Shot-put challenge” and the “Rhythmic Gymnastics routine” which was just hilarious to watch and participate in. Everyone had loads of fun and really got to know some of their colleagues that they don’t get the chance to work with at the office. They earned a restful dinner on the island before they ferried back to the big city.

Corporate Castaways - Corporate Team Building Activity in Banff

Hi everyone, this is Nick with Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we were tucked away in the mountains of beautiful Banff, Alberta, overlooking a cliff as we ran our Corporate Castaways event with a group of executive compensation consultants from Calgary and Toronto. The mountain became a battlefield as these fierce, face painted warriors fought tooth and nail to the bitter end. Not a single team gave another any mercy at all. Mind Bender, Scrambled, True or False, it didn’t matter what the challenge, these competitor fought hard and worked as a team. In the end, it all came down to a dramatic final round of “Tuckered Out” to decide who was the ultimate winner. You’ve probably never seen any of these snacks in the office lunch room before, it’s amazing what a little bit of healthy competition can get us to do.

Custom Event - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

It’s Dolena here with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we are right near the water at Jennifer Katrina Park in Toronto with a local online marketing company. This group of about 75 participated in their very own custom event where teams competed in five different challenges. These challenges were all in, meaning, everyone from all 12 teams participated. We had the teams run a four-legged race with additional challenges like keeping an orange tucked under their chin and walking backwards, a 12-team version of capture the flag, a game that required teams to work together to transfer water from a cooler to fill a bucket the fastest, and a soccer shooting competition, and a spirit challenge. This group was very competitive and had lots of high energy, but I would have to say the highlight was watching the teams come up with quick team cheers and decorating a team flag. Everyone had a good laugh with these, they were hilarious. Overall, this custom event allowed this group to get out of the office for the day and enjoy the beautiful weather while learning more about their colleagues in a fun and relaxed environment. It was a fun day and everyone had a blast.

Secret Agent 007 - Corporate Team Building Activity in Vancouver

Hi, this Emma from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Just wrapped up an amazing event in Vancouver, Canada, this one was our 007 Secret Agent event, and I could tell that this group was going to have a lot of fun right from the bat when I walked in. They had sent out a memo to everyone to dress in their top secret black and white gear. So people had top hats, all sorts of fun outfits and I could tell they were already in the spirit to have a lot of fun with this one. It was set at a great resort and casino and so they were able to go around the property, interview undercover agents and ultimately solve the mystery of where the new crime location was. So, the teams had a great time interacting, plus, they were so competitive and had so much fun that afterwards, I think they kept talking about the event for hours. They had a great day, and I really think that new friendships were formed.

If you think that your company could benefit from a fun and interactive event like this, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’re here and ready to create that perfect event for you.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Markham

Hi everyone, this is Nick with Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are at a hotel in Markham with 95 tech solutions experts as they gathered for their annual general meeting. The company wanted to give their team a break from talks and speeches so they called us to step in and lead the group through our super popular Apprentice event. Participants from support services, research and development, finance and upper management all came together to get creative, have fun and do something fantastic for a really great cause. This group had some real outside-the-box thinking as they strategized and showed us how resourceful they can be in finding materials by adding broomsticks, umbrellas, plants and even cookies to their artistic designs. The presentations were so great that we had a hard time picking the best, but at the end of the day, everyone walks away a winner when deserving children are being given such incredible gifts.
