Team Pursuit - Corporate Team Building Activity in Surrey

This is Jordan with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Our latest event was a Team Pursuit, primed for a company in the energy sector. The Team Pursuit was the start of the activity for two days of internal training, meetings and was an opportunity for everyone to get to know each other a little bit better. Team Pursuit is an activity that breaks some of the barriers in groups in a fun and interactive way. This is the perfect activity for groups of several skills sets. Teams complete challenges that are themed cerebral, physical, skill and mystery. There’s literally something for everyone to be successful at. Teams earn points by completing the challenges and submitting their answers in the form of fun videos, photos, text and trivia responses. One of the goals was to engage as many teams and people as possible in the allotted time. This was evident and accomplished. After a slow start in the first half of the event, teams really picked it up and were engaging with as many people, and teams as possible to earn those extra points.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Ottawa

Hi everyone, this is Nick with Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are at a hotel in downtown Ottawa where we hosted 75 financial management experts participating in our ever so popular and philanthropic event – The Apprentice. There were representatives from Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto, congregating for an all staff meeting and they chose the Apprentice as a pre-dinner activity to let everyone unwind after a morning of meetings. The presentations put forward by these teams really showed the incredible sense of community felt in the room. We got to hear bilingual skits, a clever hip hop inspired rap by the winning duo, and there was even a bubble machine added to the bike of one very resourceful team. Creativity was king today and the best part is, 15 deserving children will be receiving their first bikes because of this afternoon.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

It’s Dolena here from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

We worked with an event planning company who put on an amazing conference program for two national partner pharmaceutical companies. To spice up the program, Canadian Outback was called in to run a customized Amazing Chase for the group in downtown Toronto. This group was launching a new pharmaceutical drug and had a conference theme focused around the fictional character named “Jane”. In this Amazing Chase, the group had the opportunity to follow Jane’s journey around the city as they located the route markers, completed roadblocks and detours. All of these challenges included Jane’s narrative and the teams had a blast following the story. Some of the team’s favourite challenges were performing the New Zealand native dance, the Haka, where teams put on their Maori face and proudly stomped and danced their way to success. And the route marker “Fish Face” where the teams had to find a fish of any kind and take a team photo making fish faces. You could tell everyone stepped out of their comfort zones and had a blast getting to know their colleagues. Overall, this group loved getting outside, exploring the city and having a fun break from their workshops.

Wild Goose Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Victoria

This is Jordan with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Our latest event was a Wild Goose Chase planned for the leadership team at a local communications company. We had the pleasure of hosting our Wild Goose Chase in the capital city of British Columbia, Victoria - a city that boast many historic buildings and some of the best museums in western Canada. The area is also home to some of the country’s most exhilarating scenery, ocean, mountains, business on every corner, and the city’s flower garden are famous the world over. The Wild Goose Chase took teams to a series of missions throughout the downtown core today. Each mission had a different difficulty level and earned teams anywhere from 1 to 10 points. Teams earned the points by completing challenges and submitting their answers through Canadian Outback’s smartphone app in the form of fun photos. The day was a success as teams arrived at the finish line for a well deserved ice cold beverage. They shared stories, a few laughs, and of course, the winning team received their coveted gold medals.

Custom Event - Corporate Team Building Activity in Bloomfield

It’s Dolena here from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today was a beautiful day in Prince Edward county at the Fields Farmhouse where a local real estate company was hosting their fall conference. This company had all of their employees from the Toronto and Ottawa office come together for a day to go over upcoming company goals. To end off the meeting on a high note, Canadian Outback made a completely Custom Event with a football theme. This group of 125 were split into 15 teams and participated in three different activities. We started with a warm up obstacle course where team members hop around in potato sacks, we have three-legged races, egg and flipper races, which were pretty funny. Then everyone got their heads in the game for a high paced kick-off and target shoot challenge. Everyone showed awesome team spirit and really motivated their teammates. We were even able to add in a bonus cheer off challenge, that was my favourite part because a lot of teams really showed creativity and cohesiveness. It was all around a good laugh and offered a great way to have everyone meet colleagues they don’t normally work with on a day to day basis and just have some good old fashion fun.
