The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Burnaby

Canadian Outback Adventures & Events hosted one of the popular Apprentice event for a leading Canadian food and beverage company that recently merged.

As an opportunity for the newly combined teams to get to know one another and begin working together in Burnaby, BC, Canada. The creativity, collaboration, and ability to strategize and adapt to ever changing challenges really came to the fore front as they assembled, decorated and presented marketing campaigns for children’s bicycles while under very tight time constraints, otherwise, nothing but huge beaming smiles in the room as an ambassador from the Boys and Girls Club charity accepted the donated bicycles and shared with everyone the very personal stories of the children and families who would be receiving the bikes. It was a really wonderful and heart warming experience for everyone.

Minute To Win It - Corporate Team Building Activity in Markham

It’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are in Markham with a production equipment company where 18 people competed in our Minute to Win It event. This group had team members from across Canada, the US and Australia. The goal of this event was for everyone to let loose and have some fun for their appreciation Christmas lunch. Minute to Win It was the perfect event to accomplish this goal as the team had a blast working their way through 12 seemingly simple challenges. Some of the group’s favourite challenges were “Face the cookie” where they had to move the cookies from their forehead to their chin with only using their facial muscles, and “That Blows” where they had to push a cup all the way down their team table by using just the air out of a balloon. They discovered some of their colleagues’ hidden talents while they participated in some of these out of the ordinary tasks. Overall, the group had a great time and were laughing non-stop throughout the activity. There was something for everyone and it was a great way to end their Christmas lunch on a high note.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Mississauga

It’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we are in Mississauga with a local product manufacturing company. We worked with a group of 20 who was very excited to participate in The Apprentice. We split everyone into 4 teams and I have to say, this group really captured the big picture with this event. Everyone was extremely motivated to do a great job with their bikes because they were being donated to a local children’s charity organization. That aspect alone brought so much energy and positivity to the event. With this group, being the marketing department at their company, the pitches reached a new level of creativity. We had some groups dressed up and act like children for their pitch. We had a very detailed role out plan to get the bikes on the market and also had an extremely touching presentation about you remembering your very first bike, but the winning team had the pitch where they had the whole room dancing into the song “Barbie Girl”. The dedication this group had in building, decorating and pitching their bikes was outstanding. They all demonstrated phenomenal team work, strategy and executed exceptional negotiating skills to acquire the tools they needed.

Amazing Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Banff

This is Jordan with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Our latest event was an Amazing Chase, planned for a company from a Technology sector. This was the 3rd year in the row they competed in the Amazing Chase, so it was important to keep it fresh, and add some new custom creative challenges. We had the pleasure of hosting our Amazing Chase in the co-host city of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games – Whistler, British Columbia. Just like on the Amazing Race TV show, teams needed to successfully navigate road blocks, detours, and any challenges presented along the way. Teams earn points by completing challenges and submitting their answers through Canadian Outback’s smartphone app in the form of fun videos, photos, text and trivia responses. It was a huge success as teams arrive at the finish for a well deserved ice cold beverage. They shared stories, a few laughs, and of course, the winning team received their coveted gold medals.
