Wild Goose Chase - Corporate Team Building Activity in Toronto

Hi everyone, this is Nick again, reporting on another great afternoon of corporate team building.

Today, Toronto was blanketed in sunshine and it was hot out there. The heat wave didn’t deter this group of insurance professionals though, as they were enthusiastic about an afternoon of engagement with the Canadian Outback Adventures & Events mobile app. Wild Goose Chase was the game of the day which guided teams through an afternoon of adventure. Our diverse sets of challenges push groups physically and mentally, but most importantly, pushed everyone to work together. We saw human pyramids, puzzle solving, races and arm wrestling in the streets, playing in public fountains, dressing up as pirates, parkour, and that’s just the beginning. There are so many hidden talents amongst individuals in a team and the Wild Goose Chase is the perfect way to bring them out.

The Apprentice - Corporate Team Building Activity in Ottawa

It’s Dolena from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events here with another corporate event update.

Today we are in the nation’s capital, Ottawa, with a local finance company who gave back to the community from participating in The Apprentice. This high energy group of 22 were very focused on the charity blast of this event. They were highly motivated to build these bikes safely for the deserving children of The Children’s Village of Ottawa. This event was meant to bring colleagues together from different offices to have some fun during their conference. We definitely created a fun and relaxed environment to accomplish this. There were some very unique decorations with this group, like a saddle bag and wings on a girl’s bike, and a boy’s bike that had flames shooting out of it and a laser. Everyone was in high spirits, but still showed some competitiveness. Everyone demonstrated excellent teamwork, creativity and positivity. We even had two representatives from the organization accept the bike donation and talk about the programs they offer for the local children. There were really feel good vibes all around and this event really brought the group together.

GPS Geocache - Corporate Team Building Activity in North York, Ontario

It’s Dolena here with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Today, we couldn’t have asked for a better weather in North York, Ontario. Here at the Sunny Brook Estate, we had 65 participants from a local pharmaceutical and manufactures good company utilized their navigating and teamwork skills during the GPS Geocache event. This group was eager to locate these caches and complete the unique challenges that range from drawing portraits and answering word puzzles, to a tasting contest and a blindfolded obstacle course. The challenge locations also provided the teams with a sense of adventure. They navigated in wooded paths and had to climb a few hills, and there was even a challenge by a stream where they had to create play-dough boats. This event allowed everyone to participate in their own way, because it required creativity, analytical thought, thinking quickly on your feet, speed, technology and so much more. This was the perfect way to break up their day of meetings and get to know some colleagues they wouldn’t normally interact with at the office. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and this group can’t wait to do it again next year.

Corporate Castaways - Corporate Team Building Activity in Quebec

It’s Dolena here with another corporate event update from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events.

Today we are in gorgeous St Sauveur, Quebec, running a Corporate Castaways for a national real estate company. Around 100 people participated in this fun, survivor themed activity and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. We had teams of 7 or 8, trying to survive elimination. We started things off with having each team get face painted up and create team flags, then it was time for the challenges. One of the group’s favourite challenges was “Triage” where teams had to build a triangular stretcher and transport 4 team mates to their safe zone, while also completing a large SOS puzzle. Some other awesome activities were “Blind leading the blind”, “Jumbled” and “Tuckered out”. These challenges tested the team’s abilities to strategize, trust one another and think outside of the box. Everyone had so much fun and they just loved this activity. It really was a great day in the hot sun and everyone also got the chance to cool off by going down the venue's 100 foot water slide, so that was a great topper to the day.

Amazing Chase Corporate - Team Building Activity in Vancouver

It’s Aiden here from Canadian Outback Adventures & Events with another corporate event update.

Today we hosted an Amazing Chase in the busy downtown Vancouver on a hot and sunny day. We had 30 participants from YVR’s IT department, our local airport. Teams worked together to complete a series of route information challenges which unlocked their roadblocks or detours, which were required to be completed throughout downtown Vancouver. These challenges were completed and unlocked through our Canadian Outback Adventures & Events app. I saw a lot of laughs and smiles today, especially during our Brian Adams’ “Run To You” challenge, where teams were required to memorize the lyrics of “Run To You” and share it with their host to be able to move on to the next challenge. Teams enjoyed visiting local areas such as Chinatown, Gastown, and various areas throughout downtown. The group was high energy and just had a ton of fun. Teams were eager and excited to cross the finish-line at the Rogue, downtown Vancouver, where they were able to enjoy a few appies and drinks.
